Just because I'll get tired of answering basic questions, I'm making a list of them here. Once asked a question, I modify my list and the answer'll appear in both post and list form. (So I don't get asked again by people too lazy to read all the posts.) If I AM asked a question twice, I'll not bother answering. Sorry, this is for my sanity.
What got you into cosplay?
When I went to Otakon 06 (my first convention), I saw my fellow otaku engaging in cosplay and thought it was wickedly awesome. So I decided to try it out...and here I am now.
What was your first costume and why?
Uh, Honoka from the Third. I'm not quite sure why...I think it was because I knew I could buy pretty much all I needed (although I must say, it was a crappy cosplay) and that it would be simple. But...like most first cosplays, it was highly inaccurate and very simple.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Bad question. I'm one of those people who cosplay because I like the character. I try very hard not to conform and cosplay only those major characters (I strive to be different and I grow tired of seeming the same cosplays over and over). My friends like me cosplaying known characters for the sake of our skits...which I'm okay with, as long as I can be a character I know and like.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Doesn't everyone? Hmm...I'd have to say, I've ALWAYS wanted to be Eruruu (no, it's not Eluluu. Thats the English-fication) from Utawarerumono. She got such a pretty costume! Plus, her ears...-^.^- I've got a thing for Animal-People (I KNOW there's a real name for them...). Like those in Loveless!
So far, what has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Hmm...probably Riku from Kingdom Hearts II. I used that costume the most, I thinks. Plus, DBIO performed their first skit while I was cosplaying Riku...the skit was about the famed SoraXRiku shounen-ai pairing. So, in front of say...1,000 people or so, I acted gay with Kila. X.X So thats my most memorable one so far.
Do you participate in masquerades?
.................if you're asking me that...why the heck are you HERE? Obviously, I participate in masquerades along with the rest of Death By Inanimate Objects. Our first skit was a shounen-ai dancing skit called the Inner Mind of a Yaoi Fangirl. Needless to say, much dancing and posing was done, where we also learned choreography is very difficult. Our second was Pirates Vs Ninjas. We won best in our Division, which made us all die of excitement. Kitsune got to keep the trophy~! ...I don't know what she did with it though...O.o"
What's your best masquerade experience?
Ehhh...probably Pirates VS. Ninjas when I realized we actually had enough skill to win an award...X.X
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope, because for the most part, we don't actually make our costumes. I'm making my Hinata costume (my very first sewing experience...-^.^-") and Tenshi and Saku made their Sakura and Inner Sakura costumes (with help from Tenshi's awesome grandmother).
A bit about your life?
Uh...lesse...I'm a computer geek. So I sit here, at my desk, wandering around the internet. I game, too. I've got a Wii, PS2 and a wondrous PC (my beloved). Sora from DBIO is my boyfriend and we've been together for over a year now. I'm a high school student, and my father won't let me work unless it's summer (and I still can't work because we travel a lot in the summer). Besides the fact that I'm the audio technician for our skits, that's about it on me.
What's your favorite ___?
Okay, if anyone has a what's your favorite? Question, they can ask it. But my answer will probably be something like this:
I'm sorry, I don't have a favorite. I like a LOT of different ___, to the point where I can't decide.
